Upon entering Touch A Life Missions Home Recovery Program, each resident will:

1. Be assessed for detoxification needs. If it is determined that detoxification is necessary:

    a. A detoxification facility will be chosen according to which one is most appropriate.

    b. Detoxification can last anywhere from 3 to 30 days, after which the resident will be brought back to Touch A Life Missions Home to begin his treatment.

2. Meet with an intake coordinator to fill out the necessary paperwork and go over any important information, such as personal rights, grievance procedures, rules and regulations, etc. Each resident receives a Resident Policy Form  which details TAL House procedures, rules and regulations, as well as emergency information.

3. Each resident begins involvement in the program as soon as they arrive, attending all groups, meetings, and lectures.

4. Within the initial stages of the program, residents are required to make 90 meetings in their first 90 days.

5. Within the first week, residents meet with the house manager to set up a weekly schedule to discuss the program, plans, progress, and any other issues the client may be facing.

 6. Recommended six (6) to twelve (12) months commitment (will consider less than 6 months commitment on an individual basis)

7. Must be 18 years or older. Males only.

8. Must provide TB test results within past 6 months and other testing may be required.

9. Client is not a danger to self or others

10. Must have a successfully completed prior treatment program.

11. Client must be mentally stable and test clean.

12. Client must have motivation to recover and live a sober lifestyle. Attend AA meetings.
